ok, no camera, but HELLO...

new washer and dryer. so, we left our set in colorado a year ago, and my brother gave us his old set when we moved here and (not to kick a gift horse in the mouth) but said hand-me-down has been really leaking for the past two months and i could only wash a medium load (gasp!, i know). that said, i have detested laundry and the wet floor aftermath for a while and matt caught on to my complaining and VIOLA! merry christmas to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! see, whining really does pay off. now, i {heart} laundry. the clothes come out of the washer almost dry and the dryer is so quiet. i don't even know when it's on. i've been renewed, refreshed even, as a mother, and all my mothering duties.

the only thing i'm waiting for now is an automatic folding machine;)

Those are glorious and beautiful to behold! Lucky you!

I have been waiting for someone to invent a luandy robot for a loooong time. A folding machine would work too though. It is the new millenuim...you never know what they will come up with next.

My parents have similar machines and they are magical. So fast, so quiet, and it's true - the washer practically dries the clothes!

I can't believe Matt surprised you with those! Amazing.

Oh I want front loaders soooooo bad. We had to repair our washer a few months ago, and I so wanted to ditch it and buy a front loader, but we couldn't justify it. Anyway, some day I will have one and will enjoy the bigger load capacity, less water usage, and shorter drying times. ENJOY!

Congrats Liz! We had the same problems you mentioned with our old W & D (they were damaged during the move from California to Denver) and upgraded to the Whirlpool Duet series. Now we get 8 loads of laundry done in a day instead of week! Way to go Matt:-)

sorry about the leaky washer, we did warn you though. Now for another warning, your newly developed "hearting" of laundry will wear off, and the stacks will return. However, best part of the front-loaders is how much quicker those stacks disappear now that you can do bigger loads. Be sure to show continued gratitude to Matt by NOT leaving the folding of almost every load of whites up to him (and please don't tell Dana I said that)
