a chance to meet mayor money

megan won an essay contest a few weeks ago on water conservation and had the chance to meet the mayor of south jordan, mayor money. while she had his ear, she complained about all the road construction that we south jordanians are having to suffer through as of late. as well as the increased fees for pavillion reservations and the inept staff at mulligans. this fourth grader definately has an agenda and wasn't going to let this opportunity pass her by--
ok so she barely spoke to the mayor but SHOULD have mentioned all of the above for those of us who would like to give mayor money a piece of our minds but will never have the chance

our little tumbler

that's her, in the plaid shorts and hot pink leotard...not the plaid shorts and brown tshirt:)

mal's wish was granted this spring as she spent every friday afternoon at gymnastics. she is so funny to watch as she rocks herself in prep to do a cartwheel or smells her knees while doing sommersaults. of all our kids, she is by far the most limber and quite enjoys leotards (the closest thing to her swimsuit). in these pictures she is at her end of year performance where she got to get out on the mats and show off her stuff (that being a sommersault and a wobbly cartwheel:) the best part was her oogling at the older, more advanced girls and all their fancy tricks. such a cutie patootie

if you visit us in the spring--you get sent home with a bunch of these

this year my favorite tulips to bloom were the orangeish ones. i don't quite remember them from last year--but i'm sure they were here. i just must have been too busy unpacking to remember.

4th grade science fair

our first science fair project--and unfortunately not our last. she had a fun time doing it--excited that she made it to district--but glad she's finally done!! aren't we all!

The newest addition to our neighborhood

they took down the construction fences a few weeks ago and for FHE we took a bike ride up to the temple to have a look around. we could get right up close and look in the windows. how exciting! it's almost finished
