isaac's first grade holds a memorial day parade where all the kids decorate their bikes or scooters and ride around the school. this being our first year to participate, isaac was rearing to go. i thought he should dress up in our statue of liberty costume but he would have none of it as lady liberty is a lady--we can always hope for mallory.
and he's off--i think his pinweel on the back broke off shortly after he left the driveway.
parading in all his RW&B glory. mal and eli were staged perfectly at the beginning of the parade route as to get the most candy--they waited patiently watching fervently for their brother who promised that he would throw them candy--wait...i see his flag draped helmet..oh yes, that's him...here he comes!! get ready to pounce! "isaac!!!! throw us some...! what?! only ONE starlight mint! that's it! one lousy starlight mint--for TWO children (and one mom whose worst trait is pilfering sweets from her children) expecting to reap the rewards of the long 2 block walk to the school. next year guys, next year.
